Women during the beginning of McCormick Hall

There was a reunion of early McCormick Hall April 30, 2005 with lots of pictures at http://www.purplestreak.com/mitcoedreunion/   There are more information at that site maintained by Hilarie Orrman '70.  We would like to let you add more information here.  Some of the information will become redundant.  This event garnered a MIT Alum Assoc (MITAA) Presidents Citation.  (Oops, we need to decide on how to present the name and password for some of the pages within purplestreak, a lot of it is navigable without -- swk )

Building of McCormick Hall

Katharine Dexter McCormick financed the building for women's student with the opening of the West Tower in 1963

This time frame covers  when women had to live on campus and mostly at McCormick Hall were involved with MIT

This time ends around when other dorms at MIT became co-ed.
